One of our favourite Bomarea with soft pastel orange and red flowers of which there are always many when in bloom making for a show stopping plant. Grows mainly in South America and is not as hardy as others but can be grown in any container or large pot with a trellis or other structure for it to climb onto.
Growing in pots and containers does two things. 1. You can over winter easier and keep away from frosts which will kill Bomarea. 2. You can control the plants size easier as they normally only grow to the size of the pot and once they become pot bound then they remain that size although extra pruning may be required for the stubborn plants out there.
