Viola back to black produces excessive amounts of 'True' jet black flowers over an extended growing season. Many customers agree that these are ideally suited to container growing and highly suited to baskets.
For dramatic effect we recommend sowing as bedding plants where they can be enjoyed by everyone.
Height: 10cm Plant Class: Hardy Perennial.
Germination is very easy. Sow into seed trays using coir growing cells or pots, from January to April. You can also germinate throughout September.
Seeds produce growth within 10 to 21 days at 65-70F / 18-21C. Important to remember that Violas need darkness to germinate, so cover the seeds entirely and keep the growing compound moist but not wet.
