Officially named Cooktown Queen, this Australian Plumeria is loved and known the world over by its original name Wishy Washy. This is due to the 3.5 inch flower of this Frangipani changing its colour depending on warmer or cooler temperatures throughout the day.
1. In warm weather the colours are normally electrifying swirls of gold, pinks and oranges with a red centre.
2. Those that open in cooler weather have a much more reserved pastel colour. This can make for a very confusing and wonderful site on certain days where a cool morning is followed by a warmer afternoon as the flowers on the same inflorescence will be of varying colours depending on the time of day they opened.
This Plumeria is like having two plants in one. Great growing Plumeria, although somewhat confused.
