Adansonia are easy to grow from seed and heres how to do it.
Soak seeds for 2 – 6 hours in warm water.
Sow about 1 cm deep in a well drained medium like a 50/50 mix of perlite and cactus compost.
Keep the pot warm to around 67 – 75 F. Germination normally takes 2 -4 weeks but can be much earlier or take a little longer with some seeds planted at the same time germinating quicker than others so a little patience is required.
Once germinated be sure not to over water the seedlings. As a rule the growing medium should be moist but not soggy.
Keep away from low temperatures especially frost.
Very easy to grow in Bonsai and is easily trained.
Water when the potting medium is almost dry.
