Campsis radicans seeds need light to germinate and do best after a spell in the fridge. Natural light or fluorescent can be used.
Red Trumpet Vine seeds are a little bit slow to sprout, but once they get going the plants will be with you forever providing masses of colour to often dull areas of the garden.
Soak seeds in warm water for 4 - 6 hours.
Sow on surface of good seed starting mix, pressing the seeds onto mix, but do not cover seeds.
Place container inside propagator to retain moisture and begin checking for germination in 6-8 weeks.
A heat mat is ideal to provide bottom heat.
Don't allow the growing mix to become water logged (damp but not wet) and don’t allow to become dry either. A fine balance of warm temperate conditions is ideal and easy to achieve.
